Midwest Casting Call started with a simple frustration: there’s real work for actors in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and across the Midwest, but it’s scattered across Facebook groups, theater newsletters, and national sites built for Los Angeles and New York.
We wanted one clean place to find it, with listings checked by a real person and no pay-to-play.
Built by a working actor
The board is run by Pat Caporuscio, a SAG-AFTRA actor based in Richmond, Michigan. Pat has been on the actor side of plenty of casting calls (good ones and sketchy ones) and built this site to be the board he wanted to use. You can see his work at patcaporuscio.com.
What we believe
- Free for actors. Browsing and casting alerts cost nothing.
- Every post reviewed. Casting calls go live only after a person approves them.
- Never pay to audition. We reject any post that charges talent, and we act fast on reports.
- Union and non-union welcome. SAG-AFTRA work, student films, community theater, and everything in between.
